为促进我院学生英语学习，提高英语写作水平，培养其英语综合应用能力与思辨、创新能力，同时为2019年“外研社杯”全国英语写作大赛选拔优秀参赛选手，我院将举办河北环境工程学院英语活动月之英文写作比赛。具体通知如下：
一、组织机构

二、参赛对象
我院全体在校学生
二、比赛流程
（一）初赛
时间：5月13日至5月18日
形式：由各位英语老师组织各教学班级进行初赛，题型为议论文写作1篇，写作时间30分钟。随后，由每位教师择优推荐2名学生，进入复赛。
（二）复赛
时间：2019年5月22日中午12：30
形式：现场写作。题型为议论文写作1篇、应用文/说明文写作1篇，写作时间90分钟。比赛不得携带电子设备，不允许使用网络。
三、评分标准（总分100分）：

四、奖项设置
竞赛最终设一、二、三等奖等奖项。一、二、三等奖，所有获奖选手将获得获奖证书。

附：初赛写作题目
专科组：On the Importance of Internships实习的重要性
Directions： You are allowed 30 minutes to write a short essay about your opinions on the importance of internships. You should state the reasons and write at least 120 words but no more than 180 words.
本科组：On Smartphone Addiction低头族
Directions: You are allowed 30 minutes to write a short essay on smartphone addiction. Your essay should include the consequences of smartphone addiction and measures to be taken to keep away from smartphone addiction. You are required to write at least 150 words but no more than 200 words.
